Leather jackets, and sports outfits. „skinheads and gaselles“, love and rugby... All of this and more – in „Pietinia Kronikas“.
The most successful Lithuanian movie ever and the winner of Black Night‘s Film Festival‘s Baltic Film Competition, "Pietinia Kronikas", makes its way to cinema screens.
The last decade of the 20th century. In the southern district of Šiauliai, known as the city of Van Dame and Schwartznegger, lives the serious dude Rimants. Like a normal dude, he wears sports clothes, puts on his leather jacket during the holidays, sells stuff at the market with his best pal Minde and plays rugby, even though his mother is worried about that sport like hell. But well, as he says, what else can you do without rugby?
Then Rimants falls in love with Monika - the geez doesn't even know what he's getting himself into. She's a beautiful lady, of course, but she's a bit different. Well, what you can't do for love. Rimantas starts reading some books, even writes some poems... And he wonders - what's the point of all this? Should you be like everyone else, or think with one's own head?
"Pietinia Kronikas" premieres on May 23rd.
